Heres a chance to own this Great Western Railway cast iron signalbox nameplate BERKELEY LOOP JUNCTION SIGNAL BOX which was on the line between the Berkeley Road station and Sharpness, this box controlled a junction which connected with the Midlands mainline from Bristol to Gloucester and enabled trains to take a cord line to access the Forest of Dean lines via the Severn and Wye bridge across the River Severn. This plate has been face restored and a proffesionally carried out weld repair to a fracture at one end. This plate has been in a private collection since being removed from the box in the 1960s when demolished. The plate has never been appeared in an auction or railwayana sale before!
