Product Description
These delightful Great Western Railway small circular brass lever numbers date back to the 1880s and just have the lever number either hand or machine engraved on the front, the levers function was put on a label plate running behind the lenght of the lever frame. Most of these were redundant when the 4" center lever frames came out and all the information was then put on the a brass fitted to the lever. Most of these plates would have been melted down in the companies foundry at Reading but some survived! This example No 50 is a rare one indeed with such a high number to have survived! This brass is machine engraved and is in ex box condition.
