This single line key "PILNING BRANCH BOX-HALLEN MARSH JUNCTION" was on the single line from Pilning to Avonmouth which was formerly the Avonmouth and Severn Tunnel Railway which opened 1st Febuary 1900. This section of line was the long section when Severn Beach box was switched out and closed in 1969. This key has the earlier larger font and is the more rarer example from this line, the other example was engraved PILNING LOW LEVEL-HALLEN MARSH.
