Our little shop in Tintern which was originally the village police station!
Well in this very difficult last 12 months of unprecedented times from Covid19 and Brexit sadly many businesses have not survived, our only hope is the ones that get through this will be stronger. The railwayana market has seen life changing ways collectors buy items for the collections..............the internet!!! Without the internet auction houses and railwayana shops like mine could have been lost. Thankfully the railwayana online purchasing and auction has saved the day and we are all benefiting alike until the country starts to get back to some sort of normality, which it will! At Junction Railwayana we have been working very hard to consistently acquire fresh new stock for our website Last year a new e-commerce website was commisioned and now the business is expanding further.
We have just acquired a shop in the beautiful Monmouthshire village of Tintern, famous for the Cistercian Abbey and outstanding scenery in the Wye valley. I am in the process of fitting the new shop out and we will bring you updates of the progress. We hope to be able to open April May of this year depending on what the Welsh Government decide regarding easing restrictions. The existing showroom at our Caldicot will not be affected and we will remain committed to stocking a wide range of high quality railwayana available to purchase online or over the phone.
How about this for a view, the beautiful river Wye, flowing fast and high after days of heavy rain.
The new shop will be run by my lovely wife Gosia who has been learning all aspects of the business. Many of you may have met her at railwayana events and realized how delightful and helpful she is. The new shop will cater for a larger audience including tourists , items to be stocked will include items of Railwayana, Military, Shipping, Emergency services, Transport items including Automobelia, Silverware, Porcelain, Vintage toys, model railways including Tri-ang, Hornby O gauge, Hornby Dublo.
We at Junction Railwayana are thrilled to be able to bring fresh new life in these dark difficult times so until we can all get back together again and meet our "Railway family" please stay safe .

Our little shop is well placed, right next to the Rose and Crown, cant wait to enjoy a pint here in the summer !
Last weekend my wife, Gosia and I started on our new shop at Tintern . The shop will carry the "Junction Railwayana" name but will be Gosia`s shop really! We shipped over tools and materials and started setting up a workshop, I was busy building a work top area for tea making! most important of course and within 5 minutes of finishing it we were enjoying a coffee and sandwich. I measured up and designed the two large window display cabinets while Gosia set about cleaning the windows inside and out. Weve chosen a colour scheme and hope to start building cabinets next week. will keep you updated and show pictures of progress each week.
The shop is looking very sorry for itself at the moment having been unoccupied for a couple of years but this will all change over the coming months!
