Product Description
This L.N.E.R. block indicator was previously a G.N.R. single needle telegraph instrument, after the grouping of 1923 the L.N.E.R. inherited many instruments. Over a period of time they were converted at the signal works and reused. This is a fairly rare instrument due to the Bakelite knob on the commutator which originally was a drop down handle. This instrument has a plate "UP BLOCK TO MELDRETH" which is a box east of Hitchen on the Cambridge main line. Original condition and tested, the instrument has the extra contacts on the rear but like many survivors its lost its somple wood cover.
