These Great Western Railway "Copper top" handlamps are very attractive and this one is no exception, usually they have a Brass collar but with wartime shortages on non-ferrous metals steel collars were fitted as an an making them more rarer! This lamp is in its original working clothes and unrestored, complete with both red and green lenses and an original G.W.R. stamped reservoir with burner the lens has G.W.R. etched in the glass. So often these lamps have been stripped of all their patina and repainted so nice to find one like this.
