This G.W.R. pattern "R.E.Thompson & Co" light mahogany case block bell came from the same ex Gloucester retired railwayman's collection we have listed on this site. The previous owner told me he recovered it from Parson Street signal box during the Bristol M.A.S. resignalling in 1967. In my private photograph collection I have a picture taken in this box and it does show a Cow bell on the shelf which appears identical. This instrument is in as removed condition and is in tested working order.
