A fine example of a Great Western Railway 1947 pattern block indicator, these instruments replaced the standard "Spagnoletti" blocks which had been in service for well over 70 years. As an ex Signalman myself I found these were the most perfect "Ergonomic" designed instrument I've ever operated......but of course I love the G.W.R. This instrument came from an ex Bristol Signalman who recovered this instrument from Bedminster signal box in Bristol. The instrument is in tested working order.
