A first class example of a Great Western Railway early pattern "single" pegging (sending) block indicator. Prior to the double Spagnoletti block indicators there were two individual instruments, this type and the non-pegging(receiving) type, later the company combined the two separate instruments into the standard double block type which was eventually replaced by the G.W.R. 1947 pattern. This instrument is a real survivor and is in its original format and has been well cared for by decades of signalmen. The flag mechanism is stamped G.W.R. as is the front of the case, the instrument is in amazing condition and is in complete working order and you wont find a better example!
