A fine example of a Great Western Railway 1947 pattern block indicator, this ergonomic design was a direct replacement for the original Spagnoletti blocks which gave excellent service for over 70 years. These instruments were popular with Signalmen and I myself operated many during my time as a signalman on British Railways. This instrument is in lovely condition and in full working order. This was recovered by the vendor back in the 1960s who at the time was a lineman based at Kingsland Road signal depot in Bristol.
