Great Western Railways block bells don't come much better than this! a nice early example of the "split case " type which are very difficult to come across and especially in this condition. The case work on this instrument is in excellent condition, the large "sheep dome" bell has a superb deep pleasing tone and is supported on a substantial turned brass pedestal. The front of the case is stamped G.W.R. clearly. This instrument is in tested working order.
