Buffer stop lamps seldom come up for sale and this example is an early pattern G.W.R. example, it has been fitted with a red "Fresnel" lens which dramatically improved the lamps visibility. This lamp was recovered from a buffer stop at Maesteg in the Llynfi Valley of South Wales. This lamp is complete and the outer casing in very good condition and retains its base mounting brackets, the reservoir assembly is complete but would benefit from some restoration.
