A pre-grouping ex Great Northern Railway 3 aspect handlamp which was absorbed into the London & North Eastern Railway, this lamp is complete and stamped G.N.R. in two places along with a date 22/85 (Dec 1885) and an eye-catching large brass plate "LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY, HITCHEN". All coloured shades are in good order, the lamp has a great patina.
