Signal box furniture seldom turns up and Great Western Railway items are always scarce, here we have a G.W.R. manufacture signal box cleaning cabinet from Aller Junction signal box which was near Newton Abbot. This cabinet would have been used for the storage of cleaning items such as floor polish, Brasso, rags, Blacklead grate polish and paraffin for lamps. To contain any spillages the cabinet was equipped with 3 Zinc trays.
