A fine example of a steam loco drivers "Grimsby" snap box in excellent working order, this is one of the slightly smaller versions. This box is plated with the manufactures brass plate and additionally a brass plate affixed with the drivers name and shed, W.CARTNER, CARLISLE, this would be Carlisle Kingmoor shed. This box measures 10" long , 7 1/4" wide and 8" tall, this box has its original black paint and a great overall patina and in fully usable condition.
