Product Description
A first class example of a G.W.R. 1947 pattern block indicator, this design was introduced by the Great Western Railway as a replacement of their standard Spagnoletti block instruments. This ergonomic design was welcomed by signalman as it was so much easier to operate and see. As an ex signalman myself these were one of my favorite instruments. This is a light case pattern was produced in house by the G.W.R. although many were made by R.E.Thompson & Co under licence. This is one of the best examples weve had in and the metal plating and control knob are like new. This instrument has been tested.
