These Great Western Railway wood case repeaters were produced for the company by Tyres and Co, a well balanced and attractive instrument . Usually all the distant arm repeater are in the original format of a red arm with a white vertical stripe and "fishtail" cut out on the end, when distant signal were repainted from red to yellow in around 1925 some new orders had their arks in the new yellow with black cheveron. This example has its original Ivorine plate and is in tested working order, this instrument was from one of the large Swindon signal boxes.
