This rare London & North Eastern Railway block bell is quite different as the entire case is made from cast iron! We seldom come across these and this example has been cleaned and tested and in full working order, the letters L N E R are clearly cast in raised letters in the top of the case. A large bronze "sheep" dome bell gives a very pleasing sound.
