These smalloval lever description plates are very difficult to source and date back to the late 1890s. These were often fitted to ground frames in crossing boxes and this plate with F.P.L and KEY suggests it was fitted to a 2 lever ground frame controllings a facing connectionto a siding or run round loop. This example is in un restored condition.
