A very early Midland Railway tapper block bell dated 1884 manufactured in an attractive light hardwood, at some stage this instrument has been fitted with a GWR style Church type bell top which sounds fantastic. Block bells were often altered to enable them to be distinctive! This bell has been inspected and all coils tested on an ohms meter.
