Product Description
A Great Western Railway manufactured signal box block closing switch, this instrument when operated by the signalman allowed a signal box to be switched in or out of circuit. When the commutator handle was turned to "out" all the blocks and bells would be connected to the signal boxes either side, this allowed a signal box to be taken out of service when not required. This example is in excellent ex railway servive condition.
