Product Description
Narborough and Pentney station was in Norfolk, serving the villages of Narborough and Pentney vilages. It was on the line between King's Lynn and Swaffham. A signal box was mounted on the east side platform beside the level crossing. That too was a GER addition: no signal boxes were provided when the line opened. The LNER later recorded Narborough as having a Saxby & Farmer 29-lever signal box, sadly the station and signal box was closed under the Beeching cuts in September 1968. This is indeed a rare survivor and a fantastic account of all trains and movents from 26Th July 1957! This book is twice the thickness of later train registers and is hardbound. This item is in ex box condition.
