Product Description
A very scarce South Eastern Railway Walkers block control instrument which operated in conjunction with a 1 wire block indicator, this fine example is in working order and is mounted on a hardwood stand. All the indicators flags move freely and the reminder hand operated flag operates too.
The South Eastern Railway built their own signalling instruments, designed by their engineer Herbert Walker and was introduced in the 1870's with the last examples still in use 100 years later.
The device in the small wooden case below is a combined commutator and bell plunger.
